The First Krishna Art Prize: Aquisitive

This is the first time a Krishna Art Competition has been held in Brisbane, possibly in Australia.

The available images are for artists to have a starting point. From there interpretation and style is the artist's choice.

Traditional Indian painting was performed by highly trained persons and after a peroid of meditation the image of their depiction appeared in their mind. So as a starting point we are supplying images close to those originally depicted by the ancient artists, thus giving contemporary artists an opportunity to use their creativity and various techniques and styles to depict the spiritual form of Krishna.

The committee is hoping this will become an annual event to sponsor appreciation of our multi-cultural society endowed with artisans and craftspersons who can use their talents to foster spiritual unity.
